Two Day International Congress On Interventions In Type2 Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders From Sept 21

Two day International Congress On Interventions In Type2 Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders will take place on September 21 and 22 at Minto Hall. It will be inaugurated by principal secretary health Shiv Shekhar Shukla. Prominent among those who will be present on the occasion include commissioner medical education Nishant Varwade; director medical education Dr Ulka Shrivastava; and Dean, Gandhi Medical College Dr Aruna Kumar.

The Congress will witness lectures, debates, paper presentations, workshops and deliberations by national and international experts in the field of obesity and metabolic syndrome. More than 500 healthcare professionals, researchers, students and medical practitioners are likely to attend it.

Congress course director Dr Sachin Chittawar and course co-director Dr Mohit Bhandari informed this at a press conference organized here on Friday. Dr Chittawar said “The ultimate goal of this Diabetes & Metabolic Congress is to discuss about the most effective cutting-edge strategies to help doctors to reach their treatment goals with patients with type 2 diabetes and avoid the associated acute and chronic complications”.

He further said that there will be numerous sessions on both the days on subjects like obesity, dietary cholesterol, bariatric surgery, metabolic surgery, thyroid in pregnancy, neonatal endocrinology, management of obesity, intensive lifestyle versus surgery in resolution of Type2 diabetes, newer insights into obesity and metabolism, weight loss strategies etc.

Dr Mohit Bhandari said there will be separate sessions on pediatric and gyne endo subjects to discuss diabetes management in children and females.
