IndianOil Launches XP100 –India’s first 100 Octane petrol in 7 new cities including Indore

–World’s best premium grade petrol for high-end bikes &cars

Indore, January 4, 2021: Having already launched world-class premium grade Petrol (100Octane) in phase one, Indian Oil further strengthen its position in petroleum fuel retail market by launching XP100 in Indore and six other cities across the country in phase two, at the outset of this calendar year. The premium grade petrol was launched by Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Mr. ShrikantMadhav Vaidya, Chairman, IndianOil, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Director (Marketing),IndianOil and other senior officials through virtual mode. The launch event was graced in Indore by the auspicious presence ofMr. Rakesh Sehgal, ED (Supplies), HO, Mr. V. Satishkumar, ED & State Head, MPSO, Mr. Dinesh Goel, GM(O), MPSO and Mr. Piyush Mittal, GM (RS), MPSO.

IndianOil rolls-out XP100 premium grade petrol in 7 identified cities across the country in phase two. In the first phase, it has been made available at select ROs w.e.f December 1, 2020, in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad. In the second phase, the availability of this 100 Octane petrol has been extended to Indore, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi and Bhubaneswar. These cities have been selected on the basis of their aspirational demographics and availability of high-end vehicles in these cities.

Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, complimented Indian Oil to reinforce its scope and reach in premium petrol retail market by making the product available at another seven cities at the arrival of 2021 which shows that we are focused on providing better energy solutions to all.He talked about the challenges the nation has overcome in 2020 due to CoVID-19 pandemic to stand strong at the dawn of new year, he emphasized upon the journey we have traversed from 1901- starting from the first refinery in Digboi to 2021 as the Digboi refinery has upgraded itself to the demands of time and technology to launch the latest batch of XP100. The fact that these solutions are being deployed with homegrown technology developed by our scientists is a matter of pride. This is yet another step in the direction of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative which our Government is keenly implementing in energy sector, in line with our PM’s Energy Vision.”

The minister has also launched the missed call facility for Indane customers to reinforce the commitment of ‘ease of living’ by Indian Oil. He dedicated the new year salutation of 2021 to LPG delivery boys who worked tirelessly during CoVID-19 pandemic era of 2020 to meet the rising demands of households due to lockdown.

As in the country, IndianOil has become the first company in Madhya Pradesh too to launch the premium world-class petrol that enhances the performance of high-end luxury cars and bikes. It is also noteworthy that XP100 premium grade petrol has been produced at IndianOil’s Mathura Refinery using the indigenous OCTAMAX technology developed by IndianOil R&D.

IndianOil’s premium grade petrol with 100 Octane is designed to rev up the engine, give faster acceleration, significantly boost engine performance, give better drivability, enhanced fuel economy and engine life.
