FADA releases October’19 Vehicle Registration Data

19 th November’19, Hyderabad : The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) today released the Monthly Vehicle Registration Data for the Month of October’19. October-19 Retail Sales Commenting on October’19 performance FADA President, Mr Ashish Harsharaj Kale said, “We thank all our principals for taking stock reduction measures. FADA especially appreciates the actions taken by our 2W OEM’s for delivering on their commitment, of reducing stock with festival retail growth. Although not at FADA recommended levels of 21 days, 2W inventory has reduced from an alarming level. PV inventory already at reasonable levels has further reduced and now almost at the recommended level with all our principals taking strong and positive steps towards stock reduction. Car Dekho delivers 92 % growth in H1 in the year 2019-20

NSE facilitates primary subscription for retail investors in State Development Loan auctions

Mumbai, November 18, 2019:  National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE), India’s leading stock exchange today introduced facilitation of subscription in State Development Loans (SDLs) through its e-Gsec platform to enable retail participation through the non-competitive bidding (NCB) route. SDLs are dated securities issued by State Governments through a normal auction similar to the auctions conducted for dated securities issued by the Central Government. The RBI conducts auctions for SDLs on a weekly basis where 10% of the notified amount is allotted for eligible investors under the scheme for non-competitive bidding. The interest on SDL is received at half-yearly intervals and the principal is repaid on the maturity date. Like dated securities issued by the Central Government, SDLs issued by the State Governments also qualify for statutory liquidity requirement of the banks. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), India had 69.2 million people living with diabetes in 2015. By 2030 it is expected to touch 100 million. Known as a silent killer, diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease caused by reduced insulin produced by the body. People with poor control over their blood sugar risk disease or damage to eyes, heart, kidney and other organs. A lesser monitored yet widely prevalent complication of chronic diabetes is nerve damage or neuropathy, which affects the feet. The person does not feel; hence does not notice an injury. The injury does not heal, turning into an ulcer. If untreated, this leads to gangrene, and requires amputation, ranging from toe to entire leg. This creates disability, deteriorates functional independence and further aggravates the diabetic condition. There is a diabetic foot amputation in India every few minutes, as per some estimates.
