Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is thrilled that the city of Wroclaw in Poland has named a square after his late father and celebrated poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The 78-year-old actor took to Instagram on Sunday and posted a picture of a signboard of the square embossed with Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s name. Amitabh Bachchan said getting to know about the honour for his father was a “blessing” on Dussehra. “The City Council of the City of Wroclaw, Poland has decided to name a Square after my Father. There could not have been a more apt blessing on Dushhera than this. “A moment of extreme pride for the family, for the Indian community in Wroclaw and India. Universal Pictures will wraps its long-running action franchise “Fast and Furious” with two back-to-back instalments, to be directed by Justin Lin. The franchise, led by Vin Diesel, has so far produced nine films since the debut of the first “Fast and Furious” movie in 2001. According to Variety, Diesel will return for the new movies along with the core cast of Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang. Lin has so far directed four films in the series — “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” (2006), “Fast Five” (2011), “Fast & Furious 6” (2013) and upcoming “F9”. The “Fast and Furious” franchise, which also includes Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham-led spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw”, has made USD 5.89 billion globally. Actor Rhea Chakraborty has filed a complaint with the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) accusing a neighbour of making “patently false and bogus allegations… to mislead the investigation” into the death of fellow actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Ms Chakraborty, who has been made the subject of lurid conspiracies and trolling regarding her alleged role in Mr Rajput’s death, also complained against “media channels (that) carried false and bogus stories without any material to substantiate… to achieve their own ends”. In her letter to the CBI Ms Chakraborty said the neighbour’s allegation – “that the late Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my residence in his car on June 13” – was “utterly false”. “… said conduct makes a prima facie case punishable… with imprisonment for a minimum of seven years,” she said in her letter, adding that a recording of the “false and bogus stories” carried by certain news channels was being forwarded.

A neighbour of Rhea Chakraborty, who had accused her of meeting Sushant Singh Rajput a day before his death, has failed to substantiate the claim before the Central Bureau of Investigation, sources said on Sunday. The agency has warned her against spreading false information, sources said. Veteran actor Vishal Anand, best known for featuring in the 1976 hit film Chalte Chalte , passed away on Sunday following a prolonged illness, his family said in a statement on Monday. He was 82.
